Recently, the CDC (Center for Disease Control) issued a statement that all Baby Boomers should be tested for Hepatitis C. The question often comes up as to why this particular segment of people is so vulnerable. What does being born between 1945 and 1965 have to do with Hepatitis C? What was di...
Buyer Beware! There are several snake oil salesmen out there who are claiming to have cured their own Hepatitis C with herbs, supplements and parking lot gravel. Okay, maybe not the parking lot gravel but it might as well be. What you need to remember is that there are two different types of...

It has been sometime like 5 years since I last wrote to you about my grievances with the Government of The Gambia. It's another man hunt going on in The Gambia by the Jammeh government over certain number of people that stood up to tell HIV/AIDS has no cure. Everybody in the world knows that Jammeh claims to cure AIDS which is nothing but a very fat lie.
To give weight and support to his dirty game when he started this crazy game he was supported by the director general of GRTS Mr. Modou Sanyang, who declared an embargo on all radio station not to have talks on HIV/AIDS awareness.
OK let's begin now. Jammeh's AIDS victims were once registered under a very well recognized organization in The Gambia MRC and Hands on Care which was headed by one Dr. Sneider from Germany. Before he claimed that he has a cure to HIV AIDS. He calls himself the myth buster because he does things that no other person in the world at present haven't done-CURE HIV AIDS PATIENTS.
Wonder if he was Steve Jobs or the likes of Bill Gates, what do you think he would have been saying then? All that Jammeh does is propaganda to confuse the sleeping Gambian masses that he can do stuffs or he was born God gifted. Those that are God gifted share their knowledge for the good of humanity. The only reason why he didn’t have the guts to share his claim that he can cure AIDS is that the west will put it to a test and monitor the health of the patients gradually and there he would be discredited for his claim. He got fools like Dr. Tamsir Mbow to acknowledge that the guy is right and he can actually cure HIV AIDS. It's all bullshit.
The thing is, if you give tons of hopes to a HIV-AIDS victim that he/she is gonna be cured and everything will be back to normal then of course you have given that person a peace of mind and relieved him/her from the trauma he/she is going through. He gather this people and give them courage and confidence that they are gonna be cured and he fatten them up with good food so that they can put on weight. I wonder if he aint putting ANABOLIC in their food to put on weight over a short period of time.
After a few weeks, they put up a documentary showing you the patients before and after. There is a big difference from the beginning when they first came to him to after they were fatten up with food and hope to believe that they are totally freed from the sickness. The worst thing is when he claimed that he got a cure was when the number of AIDS victims rised up in The Gambia.
Up till now the sentinel results that people use to rely on to get facts about to facts on HIV/AIDS has not being released. I wonder what would be rising figure but I am confidently sure that the number has gone up. People have sex without protection thinking that there is free treatment if one happens to get it. Those that got it and gone through the healing process under Jammeh, went loose and having sex again infecting few other people who in return infects others. If it keeps going on like this, I am afraid that Gambia might be like South Africa soon.
Anyway, few months after these patients were released from the Jammeh treatment camp with the confident that they are cured, their health started to deteriorate back to their old self or even worst. They went back to seek treatment and advices from their previous clinics to seek for help with ARV's.
So the people that keep treating these patients were on the hunt by Jammeh because they falsify his treatment and were doing talk shows about how people should know that HIV AIDS is real and it’s out there and that people should be protected rather than falling a victim to this incurable disease. These talk shows held some very long time ago didn't awaken the beast(Jammeh) until Gambians started going to funerals of Jammeh's claimed cured patients. His clinic started receiving less and less patients and these HIV AIDS health workers were on the hunt. A number of nurses working in this domain in the Gambia were under detention for a while now and their families were not told the reason why they were arrested but everybody knows the truth that they got arrested for helping AIDS victims to live longer with the help of Anti Retroviral Drugs and proper counseling.

At the 19th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington D.C., the CDC reported that only 1 out of 4 HIV patients in the U.S. have HIV under control, which is defined as complete viral suppression. Warning bells should be ringing in the scientific and HIV advocacy communities. While much progress has been made in the last three decades in the treatment of HIV, tens of thousands of people living with HIV (PLWH) are currently struggling to construct viable treat...
