The Female Health Company (NASDAQ-CM: FHCO) – today announced plans to install two more production lines for its FC2 Female Condom® at its manufacturing facility in Malaysia.

"Recent increases in FC2 orders combined with the anticipated future demand have triggered the expansion," said O.B. Parrish, Chief Executive Officer of The Female Health Company.

"With HIV/AIDS being the number one cause of death globally for women aged 15-44 years, our major public sector customers report increased focus on FC2's dual benefit of protection against both sexually transmitted infections (including HIV/AIDS) and unintended pregnancy. Our goal is to ensure that we are able to satisfy the expected growing demand for FC2."

"The expansion in Malaysia will bring the Company's total FC2 female condom manufacturing capacity up to an annualized rate of approximately 100 million units from the current annual capacity of approximately 85 million units" noted Mike Pope, the Company's Vice President in charge of U.K. and Malaysian operations.

The expansion is expected to be completed before calendar year end and will be funded entirely with cash on hand.
