klbKen Like Barbie (KLB)

Ken is a 20 something year old Chicago native, community activist, and blogger. He has been servicing the Blogosphere with his wit and candor for the past 6 years, taking the discipline of writing and churning it into an act of art.

After having earned his BA in English/Creative Writing at Columbia College Chicago Ken transformed his online persona into what is affectionately now known as Ken Like Barbie taking his craft to new heights. With the incorporation of a video component to his blog Ken has been able to successfully hone his craft on the page into miniature webisodes.

Ken Like Barbie keeps current by addressing several steeping issues in the gay community from relationships to religious culture. Ken’s storytelling approach has engaged and educated not only Chicagoans but his truth is shared across the globe.

klbThis is how the Thanksgiving Cornbread was made. Actually! what I'm stirring in the bowl was used to make the dressing...however...this was the very energy that created it and these were the actual events--we danced to Beyonce and baked bread. I hadn't a clue to what I was doing. I originally wanted to make the holiday gravy. Actually I preferred not to have cooked at all.

klbStrategically tinted in purple because I believe in the spirits we've lost to hate crimes, suicides & all other miscellaneous mischief. We are a unit strong standing together & we are a unit lost if we stand otherwise.
